Russellville Grange History
Russellville Grange No. 91 was
founded on January 31, 1874. The Grange met at several
locations before purchasing the Russellville Hall in 1916.
Russellville Grange celebrated its 100th
anniversary in 1974 with a membership of 138. Today, we have
members whose families have been Grangers for generations,
as well as several members who are new to the Grange.
Russellville Grange Events
Dances are held every other Friday
night on a seasonal basis.
The Russellville Grange usually has
one or two Chicken Barbeques each year. Check the local
newspapers for notices.
Our Grange has entered a float in
the Oxford Halloween Parade.
Each Grange meeting includes a
literary program. Our programs have included presentations
by the Pennsylvania State Grange Young Couple, the Chester
County Parks and Recreation Department, and Canine Partners
for Life. In addition, we often learn about the history and
ritual of the Grange from some of our long-term members.
