Fulfilling Our Mission…
The Mission of Scrubgrass Grange, #1705, Venango
County, is to be a good neighbor in our local, county, state, and
national community. Through the cooperative efforts of membership, we
strive to:
- serve as a center for community activities
- provide community service
- encourage the education of our members and
others
- promote family oriented activities which
support family structure
- engage in the legislative process
- extend friendship to all

Scrubgrass Grange President Barbara Warden
presented a check for $500 from the grange to the Emlenton Police
Department as a contribution to their K-9 fund. In return, the
grange received a Certificate of Appreciation for supporting the
Emlenton community K-9 project and for making the Emlenton area a
safer place to live.
The dog will be used for drug enforcement.
Officer Jason Edwards (left) will be the dog’s handler, and will
leave for specialized training in Harrisburg with the dog in May.
Because of an agreement with the National
Association of Chiefs of Police, the grange’s $500 donation was
doubled, for a total contribution of $1000. Also in the picture is
Chief of Police Dan Siegel.
