Cookbook Published by Central PA Granges
 

After almost a year’s work collecting recipes from Granges in central Pennsylvania and then typing each one into a special computer program supplied by the book publishing company, another Grange cookbook is now available. A Taste of Country Cooking is a beautiful soft laminated 3-ring binder collection of 508 favorite recipes. The book features colorful section dividers, helpful hints, an alphabetized index and list of contributors plus a guide to healthy cooking and eating.

The retail price of the book is $13 each, making it an attractive and affordable gift for holiday and special event giving. Granges may purchase cases of books at a wholesale price ($10/book) and earn dollars to support their local projects and activities.

Carol Rhoades from Perry Valley Grange in Perry County coordinated the project. “This newest Grange cookbook is selling fast,” says Rhoades. “The first 500 copies were gone in just over a month and additional copies have been ordered.”
