ASK THE MASTER:
Often we receive phone calls and letters asking questions
that may be of interest to all Grange members. So from time
to time the Advocate will contain this column to answer
common questions we receive in the State Grange Office.
Why do I receive duplicate mailings from State Grange?
Possibly the reason you
receive duplicate mailings is because you hold the same
office in both your Subordinate and Pomona Grange. We have
several members who serve in both positions and some of them
request the duplicates because they keep one briefcase for
the Subordinate Grange and a separate one for Pomona Grange.
This way they can be sure to take the mail with them to both
meetings. Since our mailings go at bulk rate, the postage
cost is not great—14 to 17 cents each—so it is not expensive
for us to send those few duplicates. If you do not hold the
same office in Subordinate and Pomona, and you receive
duplicate mailings, please let us know.
If your household receives
two Advocates, please contact us so we can correct that
situation. The cost of mailing the Advocate every month does
add up, and we want to keep our unnecessary costs down
there. 1-800-552-3865 or
