South Auburn
Grange #1188 says "Thank You"
There has been an artesian well in South
Auburn since the late 1800’s. The South Auburn Grange leases it for
one dollar a year, so that it may continue to serve the community.
This year much work was done at the well including a new tank. Brad
Tewksbury of Brad’s DJ Service donated the money to update
everything. It was a joint effort of the Grange and community to put
in the tank, new pipes and landscaping. We want to thank all those
who helped or contributed in any way to this project (see photo
below).

August 18, 2007
Dear Betsy,
I am writing to you to show you the progress of our Grange hall
since the fire in 1982. Due to insurance and appeals from other
Granges, we built another hall by 1984. From 1984 - 2003 we worked
on replacing furniture, kitchen equipment, and kitchen cabinets. The
front porch was put on in 2003 through donations from two of our
members. By 2004 we raised enough money to get siding on the
building and by July 2007 we had to get a new roof on the building.
I just wanted to let you know if you keep your Grange active and
have faith and a goal to work for you can accomplish just about
anything...
Fraternally,
Carol Hemminger
Master
