Mentoring is when you take the time to guide, teach, and advise someone to help them reach their full potential. It is also about giving them opportunities to grow, opening doors for them and even getting others to give the person a chance to prove themselves.
Mentoring will help you develop new leaders in your Grange so that you can try new challenges or even just step back from your current position. When you take an interest in developing another leader, it helps you to keep growing as a leader. You will also experience pride in watching someone that you’ve groomed become successful as a Grange leader. The bottom line is that when our leaders become successful, so does our Grange.
