It has always been a common
failing among leaders to spend their time just dealing with the problems
that are facing them today. Great leaders don’t just conduct business,
solve problems, or manage teams.
They also take time to imagine
what might be if; if they tried something new, if the Grange had some
new members, if the Grange set big goals.
Take time this winter to think
about what might be if you did something new or different as a Grange
leader. How could you grow as a person and leader? What would encourage
you to step outside your comfort zone? What would you like to try or
experience? You are important because Grange leaders must grow in order
for their Grange to grow.
Think about what might be in
your Grange. What would your fellow members think about a big goal, one
that would challenge everyone to do a little more? Which of your members
need a little motivation to become a better leader themselves? What
great thing could happen if your Grange did something unusual? Grange
growth is
always the result of the leader
and members growing as a team.
Take time to imagine “what
might be” for you and your Grange in order to become a better leader!
