Making New Year's Resolutions

Making resolutions is a new year’s habit with many people. The point of making a resolution for the new year is to change your life in some way. New year resolutions can be large or small, personal or professional. They are a great way to take control of some portion of your life and set a new vision. Why not start the year off right by asking your Grange to make a new year’s resolution for membership?

Since a new year’s resolution only works when people really want to change and the vision is achievable, start with an idea that everyone can participate in. Your Grange resolution might be that the active members will wear their Grange pin at least once a week. It might be that each active member will tell a nonmember that they are going to Grange before each meeting.

A simple resolution that changes members behavior in a positive way and also raises the public awareness of your Grange would be a great start to 2003. Make a new year’s resolution fun and simple and your members may just surprise you and themselves with some new members. Be sure to let your members be part of the process of developing your Grange’s new years resolution.

Make a new year’s resolution with your Grange and watch the incredible happen!
