Judy and Clark Kitner of Mechanicsburg were named the PA State Grange Young Married Couple of the Year at last weekend’s PA Grange Young Adult/Young Married Weekend held in Lancaster, PA.  Judy and Clark are very active members of Valley Grange #1360 located in Lewisberry, York County where they serve on the kitchen committee and help with the milkshake committee.  They are active in their local church as well.  They both enjoy cooking and camping.

 

To be eligible for the honor, a couple must have been Grange members in good standing for at least two years, have been married for at least two years and be between the ages of 21 and 35. Some of the responsibilities of the Young Married Couple are to attend planning sessions and committee meetings for the PA State Grange and the PA Grange Youth Committee, attend the PA Grange Young Adults’ Weekend, the National Grange Mid-Atlantic Youth Conference, PA Grange Youth Camp, the PA Grange Family Festival and the PA State Grange Conference. They also represent the PA State Grange Youth at various National Grange functions and speak at Grange meetings around the Commonwealth.
