PA Junior Grange Names 2004-2005 Royalty

The PA Junior Grange named their 2004-2005 Princess and Prince this past weekend at their annual PA Junior Grange Camp held at Camp Sylvan Hills in Howard, PA.

 

Rebecca Hetzell, 14, of Sewickley, PA was named as Junior Princess.  Her parents are Robin and Judy Hetzell.  Rebecca is a member of Mt. Nebo Grange #1872 in Allegheny County.  She is entering the 10th grade in the Quaker Valley School District.  She has held numerous offices in the Junior Grange and her hobbies include dancing, shopping, hanging out with friends, AOL, playing the violin and gymnastics.  Her many activities outside Grange include cheerleading, Church Youth Group, Church Choir, Orchestra, School Chorus, and lacrosse.

 

Jonathan Sattazahn, 14, of Hamburg, PA was named as Junior Prince.  His parents are Nick and Nancy Sattazahn.  Jonathan is a member of Marion Junior Grange

#344 in Berks County and he is entering the 10th grade at the Hamburg Area High School.  He has held every office available in his Junior Grange and his hobbies include bowling, playing video games, playing any type of card games, and being on the computer.  Outside of Grange, Jonathan is active with his bowling league, track team, 4-H Dairy, Ag. Science Club, and Web Page Club. 

 

The Alternate Junior Princess is Stacie Keith of Entriken, PA.  Stacie is a member of Lincoln Junior Grange #914 in Huntingdon County.

 

The Alternate Junior Prince is Brett Sattazahn of Womelsdorf, PA.  Brett is a member of Marion Junior Grange #344 in Berks County and is an 8th Grader at Conrad Weiser Middle School.

 

Other members of this year’s court are:  Brianna Hollabaugh, Pittsfield; Stephanie Nelson, Warren; Heather Thielman, New Brighton; Cameron Downey, Muncy; Jesse Pitts, Wampum, and; Steven Lauer, Weirton, VA.

 

The PA Junior grange Princess and Prince represent the Junior Grange (ages 5-14) throughout the year at various functions including the PA State Farm Show, Ag Progress Days, and PA State Grange Session as well as at the National Grange Conference to be held this year in Rochester, N.Y.

 

The Grange is a family fraternal organization dedicated to the betterment of rural America through community service, education, legislation and fellowship.  It is the oldest agricultural organization of its kind in the United States.
