The talent contest includes three categories: 1. Vocal, 2. Instrumental, and 3. Variety Acts.  The groups are divided into two age groups:

1. Junior Grange (age 5-14)

2.  Subordinate Grange (14 and up).

Grange members from throughout the Commonwealth compete for honors.

The Junior Grange category winners were: Vocal - Gail Switzer, Berks County;  Instrumental - Ashley Mohn, Berks County, and;  Variety Acts - Hannah Pratt, Mercer County.

In the Adult division, a "Best of Show" winner is announced.  This winner is invited to the National Grange Convention to be held in Columbus, Ohio in November to perform in the "An Evening of Excellence" Talent Show.  This year's "Best of Show" winner is John Goodman from Beaver County.  John won the vocal category by playing the piano and singing a song that he dedicated to his parents.

The Grange is a family fraternal organization dedicated to the betterment of the American quality of life through community service, education, legislation and fellowship.  The Grange includes members of all ages from their Junior Grangers (ages 5-14), Youth Members (ages 14-24), Young Adults (ages 21-35) and Regular Community (Local) members (age 14 and up).  The Grange represents approximately 20,000 Pennsylvanians across the Commonwealth.  It is the oldest agricultural and rural organization of its kind in the United States.

The National Grange (Patrons of Husbandry), representing about 300,000 members, began in 1867 and the PA State Grange was chartered in 1873.
