Journals of Proceedings of the Pennsylvania State Grange
Annual Sessions 1873-1899

The official records of the State Grange's annual conventions are published in the Journals of Proceedings, the first of which appears to have been published in 1877.  Prior to that date (1873-1876), the session records are a combination of both handwritten minutes and newspaper clippings.  Unfortunately, the printed Journals for a some of the early years (shown in red below) have not been located but much information for these years may be found in the link to newspaper clippings for each year.

It is assumed but cannot be proven that the newspaper clippings were most likely printed in the Farmers' Friend and Grange Advocate, first published in 1874 by State Grange Secretary Robert H. Thomas and continuing (according to Brenckman's 1949 History of the Pennsylvania State Grange) as the "official organ of the State Grange for a full generation".   Links to these "Clippings" through 1894 are included here as an additional historical resource supplementing the official Journals of Proceedings.
